Kocharian Did Not Notice Pashinyan's Outstretched Hand
The Prime Ministerial candidate from the 'Armenia' alliance, second President Robert Kocharian, stated that he did not notice the outstretched hand of acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He made this remark during a press conference today while responding to Pashinyan's proposal made at yesterday's rally regarding starting consultations with politically healthy forces.
“Did you really notice a hand of reconciliation? I did not. This government has lied so much that it is simply impossible to believe them. The government that lied for 44 days is now saying different things and right after that is saying the complete opposite. This is a style,” Kocharian expressed, suggesting that this was done more to show something to the outside world.
“If they indeed have such intentions, then at least keep this style for about 6 months, to at least inspire some faith that this is their real desire,” he added.
It should be noted that on June 21, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at Republic Square in Yerevan that starting June 22, he would begin consultations with politically healthy forces inclined towards dialogue. Pashinyan mentioned that he extends a hand to those forces with whom there are disagreements.
