For the First Time, the BHK Did Not Enter Parliament: What Decision Has Been Made, 'Hayastani Zhamanak'
'Hayastani Zhamanak' newspaper reports: 'According to the results of the snap parliamentary elections, two parliamentary forces, BHK and LHK, failed to overcome the necessary threshold to enter parliament. In 2018, LHK received 80,047 votes, whereas this time it garnered only 15,571 votes. Meanwhile, the other parliamentary force, the BHK, received 50,419 votes this time, compared to 103,801 votes in the previous elections. Thus, votes for all parties have decreased.
It is noteworthy that this is the first time since its establishment that the BHK has not made it into parliament. Of course, there can be various reasons for this circumstance, including competitors, campaigning, etc., but the fact remains. Interestingly, LHK has already issued a statement and essentially accepted the election results, while BHK has not yet done so.
According to our information, representatives of both parties met yesterday to discuss how they should present themselves as an extra-parliamentary force, as they are taking a political break. If BHK was fourth, the results were quite surprising for LHK, especially considering that the newly formed '5165' movement received more votes than they did. The 'Republic' party has also received more votes in its years of history.'
