Temperatures in Yerevan Could Reach +40 Degrees
Due to the influx of tropical hot air currents from the Arabian deserts, a significantly high thermal background is expected throughout the country from June 21 to 26. The Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center reports that in the Ararat Plain and its foothills, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, the valley areas of Syunik, and Yerevan, daytime temperatures are expected to reach +39 to +40 degrees.
From June 21 to 26, a high-level fire hazard situation is also expected in these areas. The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is anticipated to be above normal. It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In the capital today, from June 22 to 26, dry weather is expected during the day, with wind strengthening in the evening at 15-20 m/s.
