Our Struggle Continues: Arman Abovyan
And for that reason, I will reiterate once again: we have been, we are, and we will remain in the vanguard of the struggle for our people, and this is not even an issue for discussion. This was stated by Armenian MP Arman Abovyan in a Facebook post.
"I receive dozens of calls and messages regarding the elections. Dear people, let me first say that the words coming from your hearts are extremely important to me. This actually shows that our team's long-term work, led by Mr. Tsarukyan, has been and continues to be appreciated by all of you in the parliamentary platform. However, I find it necessary to EMPHASIZE UNCONDITIONALLY that for Gagik Tsarukyan, the 'Prosperous Armenia' party, and all of us, the Parliament has been not a coveted political 'summit' but one of the platforms for carrying out our state-building and people-oriented activities.
Yes, the National Assembly is a very important platform, but agree that we have never confined ourselves to parliamentary tribunes, and we have carried out our actions using various political tools. I hasten to disappoint those who have hopes that the Prosperous Armenia party will withdraw to the sidelines and reduce its efforts for the security and prosperity of our Motherland and nation—this will not happen under any circumstances.
Moreover, we will be more actively involved in all political processes and developments as much as possible, as our Motherland is in a state of extreme crisis in all directions and aspects. The occupation of the Republic of Artsakh by the Turkish-Azerbaijani bloc, the same enemy's invasion of the territory of the Republic of Armenia, the economic crisis, and most painfully, the fierce hatred artificially sown within our society towards one another.
You know better than I do who is responsible for this disgraceful situation. Now the question is: which person who considers themselves Armenian can remain indifferent, and which political organization that considers itself state-oriented and national can be indifferent?
And for that reason, I will reiterate once again: we have been, we are, and we will remain in the vanguard of the struggle for our people, and this is not even an issue for discussion. May God protect us all. Our struggle continues.
Respectfully, Arman Abovyan
P.S. As for the snap elections, until the numerous election violations are clarified, we will refrain from making any assessments for now.
