The Special Working Group of the Human Rights Defender's Office to Conduct Independent Monitoring of Elections
On the day of the extraordinary elections of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, on June 20, the Human Rights Defender's Office has been operational since early morning.
A working group has been established to conduct independent monitoring of the electoral process, both within the central office and in the regional subdivisions of Shirak, Gegharkunik, Syunik, and Tavush.
In addition to the mentioned regions, representatives of the working group have been dispatched to Syunik to investigate any possible complaints related to electoral rights in Vayots Dzor and Syunik, and to respond promptly if necessary. Special attention is being paid to issues related to the work of journalists and observers. Complaints or reports regarding the exercise of electoral rights can be directed to the Defender's Office via the hotline numbers 116 or (096) 116 100.
