The People Will Decide Regardless of Gunfire: Samvel Babayan
The first candidate on the electoral list of the 'Azatakan' party and former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Samvel Babayan, participated in the elections at polling station 9/46. In a conversation with reporters, he commented on the already registered incidents and advised people to remain calm.
'It’s an election. It neither begins nor ends with that. I would advise everyone to stay calm. Ultimately, it’s the people who decide. They are not afraid of gunfire nor anything else,' said Babayan.
According to him, there will be tension since only 3-4 out of the 25 participating parties will pass, while the others will lose. 'Of course there should be tension; what else can they do? People have worked hard, and if they haven’t gained the trust of the people, there should be tension,' he added.
