“Do You Doubt?” Robert Kocharian Votes for Dignified Peace and Economic Rise
The second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, who leads the "Armenia" alliance, voted at the Yerevan 7/3 polling station. He arrived accompanied by his wife, Bella Kocharian.
In response to the first question from journalists about how he assesses his chances, Kocharian replied, “Do you doubt?”
“First and foremost, I voted for dignified peace and economic rise. This is my choice,” Kocharian stated.
He noted that numerous instances of electoral violations have been recorded, including ballots resembling those of the “Armenia” alliance, under the name “Armenian murderer.”
“There are already videos online, and the fact that it has not yet been determined who was responsible raises significant doubts that this is taking place with the involvement or guidance of the authorities. If those responsible are not identified in one or two hours, we will announce that this is being done under the direction of the authorities,” the second president said.
Regarding the arrest of the director of the Izmirlian Medical Center, Armen Charchyan, Kocharian stated that there was no basis for the arrest. “He expressed his opinion; I don’t think there was any reason for pressure in that case,” the second president said.
