VIDEO: Full Speech of Robert Kocharian
Today is the last day of the campaign. We have been in all provinces and cities of Armenia, and now we know much better how you live, what you need, what problems our country faces. I thank everyone who has met with us and helped us as we conclude our campaign with a victory march. This was stated by the leader of the "Armenia" alliance, the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, during a rally today.
"This is not a struggle for power; it is a struggle to restore the statehood of our people. Today, our country is facing four main problems: first, the defense of the country and the security of its borders; second, the future of Artsakh; third, the economic situation of the country, unemployment, poverty, and emigration; and fourth, the extremely tense internal political atmosphere, the hatred that has been nurtured by this government for three years. This government is incapable of providing solutions to these issues because they have created these problems themselves," said Robert Kocharian.
He noted that the "Armenia" alliance, unlike the current government, has experience, knowledge, determination, and will. "Our alliance has come to put an end to all this; it is a choice between dignified peace and humiliating surrender, a choice between having economic growth and deepening the economic crisis, a choice between solidarity and hostility. We reject all phenomena that have brought us to this sad situation," he emphasized.
The second president of Armenia stressed that in addition to voting, there should be a watch throughout the night to prevent vote theft. "Give us the opportunity to take responsibility for the country's future, to advance the country in all directions, to rebuild a powerful army, a strong economy, and to be a government for all the people, not just for the insiders. This is our goal," said Robert Kocharian.
