The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has issued a statement regarding the recent arrest of Mr. Armen Charachyan, the director of the Izmirlian Medical Center, based on an alleged recorded meeting that took place at the center.

“We learned from the media that Mr. Armen Charachyan has been arrested. Professor Charachyan is a devoted son of the Church, a distinguished physician, and a person of immaculate biography. Therefore, we urge the relevant law enforcement agencies to immediately release Professor Charachyan and to operate strictly within the law, avoiding any actions that undermine his dignity, honor, and rights,” the statement read.
