Russia May Resume Air Travel with Turkey from July

The Russian coronavirus response headquarters is considering the possibility of resuming air travel with Turkey starting from July 1, according to Forbes, citing its sources.

According to the obtained data, domestic resorts in Russia have been heavily burdened since the suspension of flights to Turkey, which could lead to an increase in the spread of the coronavirus infection.

“Given the sharp rise in illness in the country, it seems safer to open communication with Turkey, where the figures have stabilized,” explained the Forbes source.

It was noted that the discussion currently involves the potential opening of seven flights per week, but it is unclear whether multiple airlines or only Aeroflot will operate these flights.
