Over 20 Remains Samples of Fallen Soldiers Sent Abroad
Over 20 samples of remains of soldiers who fell during the 44-day Artsakh war have been sent abroad. Acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan stated this during a conversation with journalists, as reported by Armenpress.
“There are more than 20 samples that have been sent abroad, and we have already received most of the results, which have been consistent with the research conducted here. There are still a few that are being taken to a third country for additional verification—double or triple checking. Unfortunately, this process is somewhat delayed on our end, so that parents can be completely assured and go through this process to bury their loved ones,” Avanesyan noted.
On June 18, Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that the total number of casualties in the war is 3,705, with around 3,400 soldiers' bodies identified.
