Director of Izmirlian Center Threatens Employees: Fact-Checking Platform

Armen Charhchyan, a parliamentary candidate from the 'Hayastan' alliance and director of the Izmirlian Medical Center, made threats to employees during a meeting on the morning of June 18, demanding their participation in the elections. Charhchyan stated that he is a candidate from the 'Hayastan' alliance and warned that if anyone does not participate in the elections, he will be aware of it.

It is worth noting that Article 154.2, Part 3 of the Criminal Code stipulates responsibility for coercing an elector to vote for or against any of the candidates or political parties, to participate in elections or to refuse to participate by using their official or other dependency. Furthermore, if this act is committed against two or more individuals, as per Part 4 of the same article, it is punishable by imprisonment for a term of four to seven years.
