Criminal Case Initiated Following Release of Recording Involving Armen Charchyan, Director of Izmirlian Medical Center

A criminal case has been initiated in response to the release of a recording in which Armen Charchyan, the director of Izmirlian Medical Center, allegedly threatens staff and coerces them to participate in elections. This was confirmed by the Special Investigative Service (SIS) of Armenia in response to a query from 'Factinfo', adding that an investigation is currently underway.

It should be noted that today, a fact-checking platform published a recording in which Armen Charchyan stated during a meeting with employees on the morning of June 18 that staff are required to participate in the elections. Charchyan emphasized that if anyone fails to participate, he will be aware of it. The Prosecutor's Office has forwarded the mentioned recording to the SIS for preparatory materials. The SIS also stated that the materials sent by the Prosecutor's Office will be attached to the criminal case.
