Maria Zakharova Discusses Tensions at the Armenia-Azerbaijan Border
In recent weeks, efforts have been made to ease tensions along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a weekly press briefing.
Zakharova noted that Russia continues to actively mediate to de-escalate the situation. “Close coordination has been established with the foreign ministries, defense ministries, and border services of Baku and Yerevan. In recent weeks, it has been possible to reduce tensions. Relevant consultations on resolving the border dispute will continue. We consider the prompt start of delimitation work between the two countries for a stable and long-term solution to the issue, with further demarcation. We reaffirm our readiness to actively support this process,” Zakharova concluded.
