Insufficient Water Supply for Irrigation Season in Shirak Region: Crops Left Untended

Agricultural enterprises are facing the risk of losing their harvest due to a deficit of irrigation water in the Karnut reservoir. Since the beginning of the irrigation season in May, the majority of the cultivated lands in several villages of the Shirak region have not been irrigated, despite the fact that wheat, barley, and early potato crops should have been watered at least once.

Farmers are not receiving irrigation water. It is now mid-June, yet there is not enough water supply in the Karnut reservoir for the irrigation season.
