Azerbaijani Man Killed in Landmine Explosion in Aghdam
In Nagorno-Karabakh, in Aghdam, the body of an Azerbaijani man has been found following a landmine explosion. A criminal case has been opened regarding the death.
According to the regional prosecutor's office, on June 7, information was received about the disappearance of resident Jasarat Khatamkhanov (born in 1978) from the Aghdam region. His body was discovered in the area on June 16, as reported by Sputnik's Azerbaijani service.
The investigation revealed that Jasarat Khatamkhanov died as a result of an explosion from an anti-personnel mine during agricultural work. It was noted that Khatamkhanov, a resident of the Seydli village in the Aghdam region, worked as a driver in a workshop for gravestones in the Guzanli village. During one of his work trips, he lost contact.
Employees of the prosecutor's office and the police examined the scene, and a forensic examination has been assigned, along with other necessary procedural activities. A criminal case has been initiated.
