White House Statement: Outcomes of EU-US Summit

The White House has issued a statement reaffirming its commitment to support the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the EU Eastern Partners following the EU-US summit.

In the 28th point of the joint statement, it specifically mentions, 'The EU and the US intend to support efforts to establish long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus.'

‘We are steadfast in our support for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the EU Eastern Partners and will defend the reform paths of Ukraine, Georgia, and the Republic of Moldova. We are also determined to achieve long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus,' reads the text of the statement.

It is also noted that 'The EU and the US are resolute in holding Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's regime accountable for human rights violations and fundamental freedoms.'
