«Today we have absolutely no danger from Aliyev: Peace reigns, Russian troops are stationed, and war between Armenia and Azerbaijan is impossible. However, the process must continue towards reaching some agreement both with Aliyev and Turkey. Eternal enemies cannot exist between two neighbors. It is excluded. We are endangering our existence. Four years ago, we advocated the following slogan: peace, reconciliation, and brotherhood. This must either be the case, or our state has no future. And the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh is no longer dependent on us. No Armenian can claim they can resolve the Karabakh issue anymore,» said the first president of Armenia and leader of the Armenian National Congress, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, during a public television broadcast.
