Police Planning Mass Arrests in Armavir Targeting Khlyghatyan's Son

According to sources from the Police reported by 'Factinfo', the police are preparing to arrest the son of former Armavir mayor Ruben Khlyghatyan and several of his relatives. By arresting Khlyghatyan, the authorities intended to weaken the 'I Have Honor' alliance in Armavir. However, seeing that Khlyghatyan's son and relatives are campaigning effectively and have a significant chance of success, despite the alliance still gathering a considerable number of votes, they have decided to isolate all of Khlyghatyan's close associates who are currently participating in the campaign.

'Factinfo' has learned that the police are currently waiting for the special forces squad to gather and carry out special operations in Armavir to arrest Khlyghatyan's son and other relatives who are campaigning for the benefit of the 'I Have Honor' alliance. This is a continuation of political persecution.

It should be noted that the arrest of Khlyghatyan and subsequently his detention have been deemed completely unfounded and illegal by the defense, viewing it as political persecution. An appeal against the first instance court's decision has already been submitted.
