“Our strength is Azerbaijan’s strength, Azerbaijan’s strength is our strength”: Erdogan and Aliyev sign the Shushi Declaration
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke today in Shushi about the role of Turkish drones in the Second Artsakh War following discussions with Ilham Aliyev, stating that cooperation in the field of defense industry with Azerbaijan will further develop, writes Azerbaijani minval.az.
“Azerbaijan will have the opportunity to become not only a consumer market but also a production center in this process. Our strength is Azerbaijan’s strength, Azerbaijan’s strength is our strength,” Erdogan declared.
According to him, “despite the pandemic, the two countries continue to decisively increase cooperation in all fields — from agriculture to energy, transportation to tourism, defense to education and culture.”
“Moreover, we are further strengthening our ties regarding technology transfer and joint production projects in the defense industry,” Erdogan stated.
It is worth noting that a ceremony took place in Shushi with the participation of the Presidents of Turkey and Azerbaijan, where documents were signed, including the Shushi Declaration.
“Today, we not only talk about the Zangezur corridor, which will connect Azerbaijan and Turkey by road and rail, but we are also taking practical actions,” emphasized the Azerbaijani leader.
According to Aliyev, the signed document contains clear provisions regarding the Zangezur corridor.
