I Demand All Political Forces to Cease Insults: Human Rights Defender
Unfortunately, insults have become a detrimental phenomenon in this electoral campaign. This was stated by Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan on his Facebook page.
"Using disgusting words and sexual insults, various political forces and figures are directly insulting each other publicly. I warn you that your words of insult are quickly spreading among people, and then people insult each other, using the very words you employed against you. There are cases where, despite complaining about insults, some are eagerly waiting for those very insults to be spread actively through fake and real pages, adopting a victim's persona and insulting even more. Moreover, from fake pages supporting a certain force or figure, artificial attacks begin demanding the Human Rights Defender to address each word of insult and provide assessments of specific situations individually. In recent days, requests have again been directed at the Defender to protect officials, blatantly ignoring that the Defender is not an arbiter of insults between officials and private individuals, 'forgetting' that there are law enforcement agencies and courts for that purpose.
Insults, especially when made publicly, escalate the atmosphere and increase tension. It should not be part of the public agenda. I sternly demand from all political forces and figures to cease the detrimental behavior of developing and openly encouraging a public agenda of insults."
