Azerbaijan's Obstacles Proved Futile: Armenian Journalists Receive Euro 2020 Credentials

Armenian sports journalists have received their credentials for Euro 2020, which were previously denied due to inspections by Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies.

Vnews journalist Karen Raphaelian announced on his Facebook page that both he and journalist David Yeghiazaryan have now obtained their credentials. “Azerbaijan's antics regarding the accreditation of Armenian journalists for EURO 2020 lasted just 2 days... Last night, I received my new accreditation, and just now my colleague David Yeghiazaryan received his as well! Thanks to the Football Federation of Armenia for the quick and effective response. Besides our personal letters, the FFA was the only organization that submitted an official request to UEFA for resolving the issue. Thanks also to Artsrun Badalyan for his willingness to provide legal advice, and to all our fellow journalists who collectively helped raise the issue.
