Fire at Nubarashen Landfill Continues to Burn

Since June 8, the firefighting units of the Emergency Situations Department of the City of Yerevan have been conducting fire extinguishing operations at the Nubarashen landfill.

On June 14, to continue firefighting efforts at the Nubarashen landfill, two firefighting units and an operational group from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Department arrived at the scene.

It is important to note that on June 8, at 10:04 AM, the Crisis Management National Center received information that a fire had broken out at the Nubarashen landfill in Yerevan. Six firefighting units and an operational group from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Department were dispatched to the scene.

The fire was contained by 6:40 PM. Duty was established.

On June 9 and 10, the firefighting unit on duty at the scene noticed two new fire spots, one of which was extinguished, resulting in the burning of approximately 400 cubic meters of construction waste. The second fire spot has been contained; there is no danger of spread.

Five water trucks, two cargo trucks, five tractors, an additional vehicle (water truck), two engineering vehicles, and a dump truck are involved in the firefighting efforts.
