20 Years in Prison, 15 of Which in Strict Regime Colony: Verdict on Vigen Euljekjian Announced in Baku
On June 14, the Yasamal District Court in Baku announced the verdict against Vigen Euljekjian, a Lebanese-Armenian who was captured in Nagorno-Karabakh and accused by Azerbaijan of 'terrorism' (quotation marks added for emphasis).
According to the court's decision, Euljekjian has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, with the first five years to be served in a regular prison and the remainder in a strict regime colony.
