Remarkable: Why Patron Davo Was Released
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that the release of Davit Galstyan, known as Patron Davo, who was engaged in the arms trade business, was not coincidental. It is noteworthy that Davit Galstyan had been in custody since February 2 and was released on May 17. He faced charges for supplying artillery shells of a different type produced in Czechoslovakia in 1977 instead of the appropriate caliber shells manufactured between 1983-86 for the Ministry of Defense, which significantly fell short in tactical characteristics.
According to our information, the contract for the purchase of that weapon and the commission responsible for organizing the purchase process were established during the time when Artak Davtyan served as the head of the Armed Forces General Staff. This is the reason why he was released at the time when Davtyan was reappointed. The matter is that if Patron Davo were to be re-arrested, Artak Davtyan would also have to be held accountable, as those incidents occurred during his tenure and they had collaborated.
