Video: 26-Year-Old Female Steals $8,200 from a Relative's Home
On the night of May 28, a woman called the police to report that $8,200 had been stolen from her mother-in-law's house. The incident took place in the Saritagh neighborhood. The call was relayed from the operational management center of Yerevan city to the Erebuni division of the police, from where an operational group was dispatched.
Initially, the apartment was inspected; the windows and door showed no signs of damage, and the 62-year-old woman had not been away from home. The hypothesis of illegal entry was dismissed.
Following operational measures, Erebuni’s criminal investigators uncovered certain circumstances, and less than two hours after the alert, the victim's relative was brought into the division for questioning. The information was accurate: the 26-year-old woman not only confessed but also returned the stolen money. Investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances.
