Vanetsyan on the War

Vanetsyan on the War

During the war, I was in Artsakh; I participated in combat operations. I was in the village of Shosh near Shushi, where I learned about the end of the war. This was announced by Arthur Vanetsyan, the head of the 'Homeland' party and the prime ministerial candidate of the 'Honorary' alliance, during the broadcast of Solovyov Live.

Vanetsyan stated, 'As a result of the 44-day Artsakh war, we have many refugees, casualties, and 75 percent of Artsakh has been surrendered. And this capitulating government wants to close the page on the Artsakh issue.'

According to him, the previous authorities of Armenia did not recognize Artsakh, so they would not withdraw from negotiations and hoped that the issue would be resolved peacefully. However, there was a decision that in case of the resumption of war, the independence of Artsakh should be recognized. Yet, the capitulating Pashinyan did not recognize Artsakh's independence.'
