News I Heard That If Accomplished, Will Lead to the Silent Surrender of 7 Tavush Villages: Sophia Hovsepyan
MP Sophia Hovsepyan wrote on her Facebook page:
“Dear compatriots, I am compelled to address this important issue, as my silence could have irreversible consequences. A few days ago, I learned that one of the commanders in Tavush, the irreplaceable Artak Tadevosyan, is wanted to be dismissed by the minister—not transferred, but dismissed. I tried to verify the authenticity of this news with the locals from Tavush, but I received responses stating that the information did not correspond to reality.
However, the news was confirmed yesterday, revealing that the minister allegedly noticed political views and decided to dismiss him based on that, and later I found out that a service investigation has been launched against the commander. It may seem trivial and nothing serious, but...
Last night, I heard another piece of news that is a probable scenario, and if the minister and Chief of Staff manage to accomplish it, it will pave the way for the silent surrender of 7 Tavush villages. I was informed that initial attempts were made to dismiss Artak Tadevosyan, and then directed against the entire command staff, including Georgi Khachaturov, and this means that this step targeted Artak Tadevosyan not as a question of political involvement or views, but as a pretext to carry out their nefarious acts.
Therefore, I urge the Chief of Staff and the Minister of Defense to refrain from such actions; otherwise, this will be a prerequisite for a nationwide uprising. Artak Tadevosyan is a unique commander, and the only thing that should have been done was to invite him to the Ministry of Defense and express gratitude. If you haven’t done that, then you have no business interfering anymore and should stay far from the last remnants of our army’s combat capability.
At this moment, I am expressing myself softly, realizing the sensitivity of the issue. Dear Tavush residents, please remain vigilant and support our army.”
