Long Queues Formed at Police Passport Departments: Ruben Melikyan

Long queues have formed at the passport departments of the Police of the Republic of Armenia. This was reported by Ruben Melikyan, co-founder of the NGO 'Legal Way', on his Facebook page.

He specifically noted: “Primarily, this is related to issues regarding inclusion in the electoral list. A citizen contacting us was reportedly the two hundredth in line. Many are unable to wait and leave, thus forced to give up their electoral rights.”

He calls for:

1. The Police of the Republic of Armenia to urgently increase service volumes and ensure effective flow management (currently, only 4-5 out of 12 windows are operational in one department, according to the citizen who contacted us).
2. The media to publicize the issue.
