Trial of Lebanese-Armenian Vigen Ouljekchian Underway in Baku

The trial of Lebanese-Armenian Vigen Ouljekchian, who was captured by Azerbaijani soldiers, is currently taking place at the Yasamal District Court in Baku. This information has been reported by Sputnik Azerbaijan.

It is noted that he faces charges of 'mercenarism', 'terrorism', and 'illegal crossing of the state border of Azerbaijan'.

It is known that Ouljekchian obtained Armenian citizenship in 2015 and moved to Yerevan in 2019, later relocating to Shushi. He and Maral Najaryan were taken prisoner by Azerbaijani soldiers on November 10, 2020.
