Robert Kocharyan's Call to Citizens Before the Start of the Election Campaign

Robert Kocharyan, the leader of the Armenia alliance's electoral list and the second President of Armenia, has addressed his allies, supporters, and all citizens with a call ahead of the campaign's start. Kocharyan's statement was published on the Armenia alliance's Facebook page.

In particular, Kocharyan urges citizens during the campaign to focus on the content of their program, which has enormous potential for the country's uplift. "Let us infect people with positivity; the idea of hope and dignity should enter the home of every fellow countryman," notes Kocharyan.

He calls for forgetting the current government, as it is not on their agenda, and instead to concentrate on their tasks and the future. "Do not fall for any provocations. It is evident that a narrow group of the current government wants to do everything to provoke internal tensions and even clashes. This is their only ability, and the looming prospect of inevitable defeat compels them to engage in illegalities. Respect all forces; all those forces fighting to close the chapter of defeat in Armenia are our partners. Speak patiently with our compatriots; these people have been under the total propaganda of the authorities and the influence of foreign forces aimed at destroying the country for three years," emphasizes Kocharyan.

The former President has also addressed public servants. "The overwhelming majority of you are patriotic and professional people, and we will work together for dignified peace in our country, economic development, and a collective uplift. Do not be afraid, and do not yield to any threats. I appeal to those working in the security forces: maintain vigilance and calmness, do not obey illegal orders from the outgoing government; execute only your official duties. Any pressure, threats, or attempts at intimidation against my teammates or any citizen will not go unpunished. Everyone will answer to the law for their actions," adds Kocharyan.

He states that in these elections, the question is quite simple: hope, the prospect of uplift, and the idea of dignified peace will prevail. "In just 14 days, we will open a new chapter in Armenia," concludes Kocharyan. In the end, the Armenia alliance candidate assured that citizens of Armenia will certainly have secure borders, stable peace, and a dignified stance in the region, as well as a functioning and developing state. "Everything will be alright," Kocharyan summarized.
