Ministry of Defense Releases Statement

On June 5, another incident occurred at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Some livestock belonging to a shepherd from the village of Kut in the Gegharkunik region moved toward the positions of Azerbaijani soldiers while grazing in the nearby areas. When the shepherd attempted to approach the Azerbaijani servicemen to bring back his animals, shots were fired in his direction.

The soldiers of the Armenian Armed Forces immediately approached the incident area, in response to which Azerbaijani soldiers again opened fire. Following the retaliatory actions from the Armenian side, the firing ceased, and a significant number of the livestock were successfully returned. There were no casualties reported as a result of the gunfire.
