Who is the Naked Man Seen in Police Footage? Details Revealed
Representatives from the Human Rights Defender's Office conducted a visit to the Arabkir police station in Yerevan today regarding a video featuring a naked man that surfaced online. This was reported to NEWS.am by the HRD office.
During the visit, representatives from the HRD office held discussions with the leadership of the Arabkir police station. "The individual visible in the video has been identified, and documents concerning him at the police station have been verified. It was found that the footage was recorded on September 12, 2020. Specifically, on that day, around 10:00 PM, residents alerted the police about a man standing naked in the street and yelling. Following these reports, police officers approached the citizen and took him to the station.
At the police station, the citizen indicated that he has mental health issues. Subsequently, an ambulance team was called to the police station, and the citizen was transported to the National Center for Mental Health Preservation.
Tomorrow, discussions will take place regarding the transportation of the citizen to the center, his treatment, and his rights related to this matter with the National Center for Mental Health Preservation," said representatives from the HRD office.
