Masked, Armed Attempted Robbery in Yerevan

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, materials are being prepared in the investigative department of the central police station regarding an attempted armed robbery. Photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports that on May 29 at around 03:20, the central police station received a call stating that a masked individual had attempted to commit robbery at the "24-hour market" located at 24 Herazi Street, but fled when a customer entered the store.

A police operational group arrived at the scene, led by the department head Arman Papyan and the deputy head in operational matters Yervand Nikoyan. Officers from the Criminal Intelligence Division of the Yerevan City Police, led by department head Hovhannes Aristakesyan, also arrived.

It was revealed that the unidentified individual had attempted to steal money from the shopkeeper, 22-year-old Vahagn M., under the threat of a firearm-like object. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the crime was not completed, and the perpetrator fled the scene.

The police are taking necessary operational measures to establish the identity of the person who committed the crime and to capture him.
