VIDEO: Police Provide Details on Armed Group in Conversation with Auroranews

Telegram channel user Mika Badalyan has published a video from the police department, indicating that a gang has been apprehended in Yerevan.

Media outlets covering the video report that the gang has direct ties to the MP Hayk Sargsyan from the "My Steps" faction in the National Assembly. They also state that the police have decided to keep details of the incident confidential due to the good relations between the head of the Arabkir police and the former head of the Prime Minister's office, Eduard Aghajanyan.

Auroranews contacted the press department of the police, which stated: "The incident occurred last night. Individuals have been taken into custody on suspicion of illegal weapons from the address 60/2 Komitas Avenue, which is why no official statement has been issued regarding the incident yet. An investigation is underway."
