The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Aivazyan held a farewell meeting with the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by the press department of the ministry.

“I have accepted this decision with great difficulty, but when I took this position, there was a criterion for me. This ministry, born from independence, must steadfastly defend our sovereignty, our independence, and our state and national interests. I hope I have not left you in shame, and my resignation was precisely due to the fact that there should never be any doubt that this ministry can take any steps or agree to any ideas, initiatives that are against our statehood, against our national and state interests,” Aivazyan stated.
