I am proud, yes, we have lost and the responsibility for that loss is ours, but during that loss, we preserved what matters most – the right to look into your eyes. This was stated by Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting with residents of Spitak, Lori Province, on May 30.

“If we are traitors, then what business does this many people have here? They come to listen to what we have to say. Did the people who came here come for money, or were they forced to come, or were they threatened, or did the police bring them? Well, any journalist, come, enter this crowd and ask them questions, and these people will make political analyses that many of your political scientists are not capable of,” he said.

“This crowd is here because they know they don’t need to listen to you to know whether we are traitors or not; they need to look into our eyes, and they know everything. I am proud, yes, we have lost and the responsibility for that loss is ours, but during that loss, we preserved what matters most – the right to look into your eyes. Today, we have no reason to shy away from looking you in the eye,” he added.
