This Government is Leading the Country to Guaranteed Downfall: Tigran Abrahamyan

Tigran Abrahamyan, director of the Analytical Center 'Henaket', wrote on his Facebook page about Prime Minister Pashinyan's statement: "What do we need soldiers for on the edge of that mountain, which is snowed half the year?" This reflects not only a complete lack of understanding of land, homeland, and the mission of soldiers, but also the guiding principles he has followed over the past three years and how he has undermined our statehood.

For the past three decades, the Armenian armed forces had positioned themselves at almost all directions along the border with Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia, in locations where control could be maintained over enemy military, civil infrastructure, and rear movements. Since 1994, there have been continuous positional battles with Azerbaijan to occupy key heights and gain tactical and strategic advantages. The main objective was to ensure effective processes that deterred, prevented, and, when necessary, conducted punitive actions against the enemy.

This rationale extends from combat duty to border tensions, escalating situations to potential military actions. In executing this complex and highly responsible military task, our armed forces have traversed a difficult path, literally entrenching themselves in rocky terrains and mountains, often at altitudes of over 3000 meters.

Pashinyan's statement about soldiers at high altitudes reveals a fundamental lack of understanding of the mission of our military, and how the leadership's mindset, which carries such values, leaves us without a chance to win, especially under the current escalating border crisis. This government is certainly leading the country to guaranteed downfall.

People who know me are aware that I have never been in a combat position or military unit in the Artsakh section, from the Araks to Gomshasar (Gyumish), due to the nature of service. Over these years, I have witnessed the dedication, responsibility, and high awareness with which our soldiers—officers, contract servicemen, and conscripts—serve in the harshest frontlines.

Those who are unaware of this and those standing behind them, as well as those who deliberately pursue such a political course, have brought the country to this tragic point and continue to justify themselves.

Note: The image depicts Gomshasar (Mount of Valor) at 3724 meters, located in the northern part of the Republic of Artsakh. Strong defensive structures have been established at its peak, and the Artsakh Defense Army has gained a significant advantage over the enemy. Many are aware of the severe, complex weather conditions under which our forces have positioned themselves and successfully resolved challenging military objectives.
