We are living in difficult times and our wish is that our people live with the spirit of Sardarapat and be inspired by the legacy of Sardarapat. This was stated today, on May 28, during a conversation with journalists at the Sardarapat Memorial by His Holiness Catholicos Karekin II.

“Today’s message should be that every child of our nation becomes a devoted and passionate defender, united by love for the homeland and the nation, becoming one will, one fist, one heart, to join forces to strengthen our homeland and together fend off the dangers and trials that threaten our identity and statehood,” he noted.

Catholicos Karekin II declined to answer journalists' questions, stating that he did not wish to respond to any other political inquiries outside the spirit of the day: “Let us live with today’s message and pass on today’s luminous message to the children of our people so that empowered by the spirit of Sardarapat, they can withstand all challenges.”
