Major Car Accident Near Shengavit Police Department

On May 25, a major car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 23:40, on Garegin Nzhdeh Street, next to the Shengavit Police Department, a collision took place between a Mercedes vehicle driven by 32-year-old Artyom Petrosyan, a resident of Yerevan, and an Opel vehicle driven by 32-year-old Sasun Hakobyan from Ararat.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reporting from the scene, the collision caused the Opel to overturn, and the driver sustained injuries and was transported to 'Erebuni' Medical Center.

Officers from the 7th platoon of the 1st police company of the Road Police, led by platoon commander Avetis Bazikyan, arrived promptly at the scene. A rescue unit from the fire and rescue team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Yerevan division also arrived swiftly.
