An explosion occurred in the city of Daraa, southern Syria, on May 26, the day of the presidential elections. This was reported by a source to РИА Новости.

"The explosion happened at the October 16th square in Daraa city," the source stated. It was noted that "the explosion took place near the polling station. There were no casualties from the explosion, which had been set off to disrupt the voting process," a local source informed РИА Новости.
