The Only Mechanism that Worked Like a Clock During His Presidency in Armenia Was the Mechanism of Political Assassinations: Aleksanyan

A number of media outlets are unaware of the current location of Armenia's second President Robert Kocharyan's press conference, stated 'My Step' MP Vahagn Aleksanyan during an National Assembly session.

According to him, those media outlets that are not within Kocharyan and his clan's narrow family circle are not informed about it. 'Robert Kocharyan was asked to characterize himself, and he described himself as 'the only man of the country.' This chronic fear that the person who claims to be 'the only man of the country' has of free speech, that chronic fear he has of the allegedly uncomfortable questions directed at him, that fear he has that some journalist might ask how Paul Poghosyan was murdered in Paplavok, prevents him from standing up and listening to the questions that free media would ask.'

Aleksanyan noted that just days ago, Robert Kocharyan said that the country should operate like a mechanism. 'This is said by a man under whose presidency the only mechanism that worked like a clock in Armenia was the mechanism of political assassinations.' In the Tavush region, during the elections, a person who filled the ballot boxes with the Aghstev River, according to Aleksanyan, assures that there will be no electoral fraud. 'This person tries to equate us with himself and attribute electoral fraud to us, thus attempting to create an alibi for his envisioned post-election processes. I want to point out that accusing us of electoral fraud has absolutely no basis, aside from that person's fear of impending defeat.'
