Extraordinary Incident in Armavir Region: The Penitentiary Service Conducted "Lightning" Operation

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, an extraordinary and detective-like incident occurred today, May 25, in the Armavir region. As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamsyan, a person named G. M., who had been imprisoned since March 20 by court order for kidnapping, escaped from the Vahagharshapat Medical Center last night.

In recent years, the penitentiary institution has shown a humanitarian approach; when an incarcerated or arrested person complains of health problems, penitentiary service employees not only provide necessary medical assistance on-site but also, if needed, transport the incarcerated or arrested person to a hospital, where necessary medical care is provided. G. M. was also provided such humanitarian assistance, but, as the saying goes, "the snake bites the one who warms it up."

G. M. was supposed to undergo surgery when he was transported to the Vahagharshapat Medical Center. During the medical examination, while local doctors were concerned about his health issues, his mind, perhaps, was working in a different direction: attempting to "fly" out of the hospital. Today, May 25, around 5:30 AM, G. M. escaped from the hospital, heading towards Yerevan at lightning speed. However, he did not take into account that such news is also conveyed to law enforcement, including the penitentiary service, at lightning speed. Local operational officers quickly set up ambushes at the supposed locations of G. M.'s friends and acquaintances, where he might visit.
