Body of Soldier Born in 2001 Found with Fatal Gunshot Wound to the Head

On May 25, around 1:00 PM, a conscript soldier, Private Mher Karen Hovhannisyan (born in 2001, drafted on January 20, from the Ministry of Defense's Gegharkunik Military Unit) was found in unit N with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

An investigation is underway. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy sorrow of this loss and extends its condolences to the family members, relatives, and comrades of Mher Hovhannisyan.

It is recalled that the Ministry of Defense had previously reported that in the Verin Shorzha area, Junior Sergeant V. Y. Khurshudyan was killed by enemy fire.
