Accident on Tbilisi Avenue Involves Opel and Hyundai; 3 Injured
Today, on May 25, an accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 07:50, vehicles of Opel and Hyundai brands collided on Tbilisi Avenue. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, 3 individuals with bodily injuries were transported to the number 1 university hospital.
Emergency response teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene with a crew of one operational unit. Rescuers disabled the vehicles, shut off the gas cylinder, and cordoned off the area. Officers from the 1st platoon of the traffic police quickly arrived as well.
Jakob Mashchyan, the on-duty officer at the Yerevan Traffic Police Operational Management Center, informed the traffic police's accident investigation and administrative proceedings division, from which a response team was dispatched led by the head of the division, Grigor Avetisyan, and senior investigator Hovhannes Sargsyan.
