67-Year-Old Woman Stabbed Multiple Times by Her Brother's Grandson: New Details

On May 24, 2021, at 07:15 AM, the Artashat Medical Center reported to the Artashat division of the Armenian police that a 67-year-old woman from Artashat had been admitted with multiple stab wounds to various parts of her body.

Investigation revealed that the woman sustained these injuries on the same day at 06:30 AM in her apartment, where her brother's grandson had attacked her with a kitchen knife, stabbing her several times.

Blood traces and the kitchen knife, which was the weapon used in the crime, were discovered at the scene of the incident.

A criminal case has been initiated under the criteria of attempted murder in the Artashat division of the Armenian police, with the preliminary investigation being conducted by the regional investigative department of Ararat.

The young man has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder the 67-year-old woman. The investigation is ongoing.
