VIDEO: Lion Attacks Trainer During Circus Performance in Russia
A lioness has attacked her trainer, Maxim Orlov, during a circus performance in Novosibirsk, Russia, according to Mirror. With the help of staff, Orlov was ultimately able to free himself from the grip of the lion named Vega, but was immediately taken to the hospital following the incident.
Many in Russia are calling for a ban on the use of animals in circus performances after the attack.
