Video: 45-Year-Old Man from Vayk Steals Gold Chain in Metsamor; Police Solve the Robbery

On the evening of May 9, a robbery occurred in the city of Metsamor. Around 10:30 PM, a gold chain with a pendant was stolen from a woman's neck near a supermarket on Microdistrict 1, and the assailant fled the scene. The victim reported the incident to the Metsamor police.

A criminal case was initiated regarding the incident. Investigative measures were taken to identify the perpetrator, which led to information indicating that the robbery had been committed by a 45-year-old resident of Vayk.

On May 20, through joint efforts with officers from the Dilijan police, the suspect was located in the city of Dilijan and was taken into custody by the Metsamor police. He was presented to the Investigative Committee of Armavir region and was arrested.

Steps are being taken to recover the stolen item; preliminary data suggest that the 45-year-old man has sold it. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
