Two Armenian Prisoners' Cases Sent to Baku Military Court
The cases of two Armenian prisoners currently held in Azerbaijan, Lyudvig Mkrtchyan (born in 1969) and Alyosha Khosrovyan (born in 1967), have been sent to a military court in Baku. The Azerbaijani authorities accuse them of subjecting Azerbaijani prisoners of war to "torture" during the first Nagorno-Karabakh war.
According to local media reports, the cases have been forwarded to the Baku military court for examination. Twelve Azerbaijani individuals are listed as victims in the case.
Lyudvig Mkrtchyan was captured on October 20, 2020, in Varanda (Fizuli), while Alyosha Khosrovyan was taken captive on October 3, 2020. Baku accuses him of torturing five Azerbaijani individuals.
