Tbilisi Sees Tents Erected in the Square

Protesters opposing the construction of the "Namakhvani" Hydro Power Plant on the Rioni River have set up tents in Republic Square, Tbilisi. This was reported by News-Georgia.

One of the participants in the protest stated that many people are joining the demonstration from surrounding regions and intend to spend the night in the square. The tents are set up for this purpose.

The protesters have confirmed that they coordinated the format of the demonstration with the Tbilisi city hall. The situation in the square remains calm.

It should be noted that citizens are protesting against the construction of the HPP cascade, which is being carried out by the largest Turkish company, ENKA.
